A Seamless Solution for Common Concerns

Are you unsatisfied with the appearance of your smile? Veneers are thin porcelain shells that cover the front surface of teeth affected by common cosmetic concerns such as:

  • Chips
  • Cracks
  • Gaps
  • Asymmetry
  • Misshapen Teeth
  • Small Teeth
  • Deep Discoloration
  • Minor Misalignment

Whether you have one or several of these concerns, Dr. Stein can improve your smile with veneers in Boston. He can develop a custom treatment plan that addresses a single problem tooth or upgrade your entire smile with custom veneers for all of your visible teeth.

Veneers Could Be a Great Fit for You

Good Oral Health: To qualify for veneers, you must have a sufficient amount of enamel for placement and be free of cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues. Dr. Stein can perform an array of restorative services to improve your candidacy for this cosmetic dentistry treatment.

No Teeth Grinding: Although porcelain veneers are incredibly strong, they are very thin and can be damaged by chronically clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth. Dr. Stein will screen you for bruxism during your consultation.

Treatable Concerns: While veneers are an effective solution for a range of cosmetic concerns, they're not always the best option. Dr. Stein offers alternative solutions like teeth whitening, crowns, dental bonding, and Invisalign®, and will determine which solution will help you achieve your goals.

Same-Visit Veneers With E4D CAD/CAM Tech

Dr. Stein's in-office E4D CAD/CAM system makes it possible to design, mill, and place custom porcelain veneers in a single appointment. After a digital scan of your teeth, the restoration is fabricated while you wait. This is an excellent option for patients with important upcoming events, those who have traveled a long distance to see us, or anyone who simply prefers to complete treatment in one sitting. Dr. Stein will confirm whether you're a good candidate during your consultation.

A Beaming Smile Is Closer Than You Think

For patients who qualify, our E4D CAD/CAM restoration system allows us to craft custom porcelain veneers in-house in as little as an hour.
For patients who qualify, our E4D CAD/CAM restoration system allows us to craft custom porcelain veneers in-house in as little as an hour.

Preparation

Dr. Stein will remove a small amount of enamel from the surface of your teeth to prepare them for veneers. We can administer a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort during this process. After the enamel is removed, Dr. Stein will make a comprehensive digital impression of your teeth.

Fabrication

Your digital impression will be processed with our E4D CAD/CAM restoration system. This allows us to craft your custom porcelain veneers in-house, precisely address your specific cosmetic needs, and even expedite your treatment if necessary. Your veneers may be completed quickly if you need a fast turnaround, but could take longer depending on your cosmetic goals.

Placement

Dr. Stein will bond your new veneers to your teeth using high-quality dental cement and make adjustments as necessary to achieve a seamless fit. You can leave our Boston office with a brand-new smile that lasts.

Have Questions About Veneers?

Am I a good candidate for veneers?

Most adults with healthy teeth and gums are candidates. Dr. Stein will evaluate the overall health of your teeth, check your bite, and ask about your goals during a consultation. Veneers may not be recommended for patients who grind their teeth heavily, have significant enamel loss, or require restorative work first.

How long do veneers last?

Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years with proper care. The lifespan and condition of your veneers will ultimately depend on your oral hygiene habits, diet, and whether you protect them from grinding. Attend your routine checkups with Dr. Stein in Boston, and he will keep an eye on your veneers. He can provide tips on how to make the most of your new smile and let you know when it’s time to replace your veneers.

Do veneers look natural?

Yes. Our porcelain veneers are designed to match the translucency, shape, and shade of your natural teeth. Dr. Stein is a skilled prosthodontist who has decades of experience designing veneers and other restorations. He will customize each veneer to complement your facial features and surrounding teeth so that the result looks seamless.

If your question isn't answered there or on this page, the fastest way to get a direct answer is an in-person consultation with Dr. Stein at our Boston office.
